Hello friends!
I must say, it's been many months...or has it?? To tell you the truth, I have lost track. Alex, I'm sorry we never met in L.A., to tell you the trugh, I never made back there.
So where was I, you may ask?
I took the truck up to Route 66! Lucily I rought the cameras -- my beautiful, luscious wife-of-a-camera (she's a little bit cold in the morning though!) Rex-3 and...thanks to Chas, I decided to pick up a Bolex 160 ...to compare and to contrast the outdoors footage. Well, Chas, I must say a big thank you for convincing me about the Bolex 160. She performed like a dream. I now have about 2 hours of unedited, beautiful K40 footage of various spots on Route 66. I shot abandoned hotels, the Cadillac cars in Texas, the burros in Oatman, the crazy guys in Seligman! Man was it a blast!!!!!!

Welcome back, B.B!
Though it's a bit discomforting to see you using my name and Alex' in the same post I am glad you had a good experience with the Bolex 160. I don't recall specifically recommending the camera to you, but who knows, maybe I did. It is an excellent piece of equipment, isn't it? Are you going to post any of your work?

Bolex Bob was going to visit me in LA and look at some of my Super-8 films....
He doesn't show, instead, I get Chas, Matt and Roger besmirching me.
So Bolex Bob does not show up, and somehow Alex takes the hit.

What an interesting way of looking at things...instead of trying to figure out why people don't like you...blame it on Bolex Bob!

Alex, what the heck do I have to do with this thread or Bob's trip to visit you? Can you kids say, "paranoid"?
You're getting weird.

Alex, do men in black sedans show up at your house in the middle of the night and ring your doorbell? Do they warn you not to talk about the "things" you know?
Do-deee, do-eeee, do-deee, do-deeee.
You are too, too much, dude. Man, do you need to get a life.

Well, do you?
Considering how you reamed my backside for daring to talk about 16mm on a super 8 forum, I think that's a fair question. Too bad you expend all your energy doing everything except answer it.

Hey, Buddy! Whatd ya mean by that?? My eyes would be spinning?? You wanted to clock me? Is that it? That's the thanks I get for defending you in the past? I didn't "chicken out" -- I was planning on a road trip -- not to see you. I had some stuff I wanted to film in Calif. but I ran out of time and film before I could get there.
You give yourself too much credit, buddy.

An interesting "adjustment" Bolex Bob to my actual post...here it is again....

Bolex Bob chooses seeing the the backroads and historical locations of the USA instead of visiting me. Go figure.
If I had done what Bolex Bob did, some on this forum would have accused me of chickening out.
But since it was Alex being snubbed, it's OK, and then it's further OK to razz Alex about not shooting Super-8 Film.
If Bolex Bob had showed up his eyes would have been spinning like pinwheels into next year.

I Never called Bolex Bob a chicken, and the pinwheel line is an obvious joke, a reference to how a cartoon character looks after seeing something they really like.
